House Update

We are getting closer...it is almost unimaginable that we are going to have our own place again, we are about a month and half away. It feels like we have been building this house for years, so much has happened since we started building, obviously the biggest of them all is having Kendall.

The family room after the walls and ceiling have been painted.

The kitchen without the cabinets, they are coming next week. The wood floors are going in this week.

The back patio right after it got poured. I took Kendall out there and we did her foot print in the cement, though it was getting hard so you would have to know it is there to notice but it is still pretty cool.

Random pictures

Her favorite place to sleep and she doesn't let her binky get too far away.

Tui the cat has been really curious of Kendall and likes to smell her.

All clean just out of the bath!

1st time in her bath robe.

1 Month Old

Some pictures of Kendall on Thursday wearing her husky outfit for March Madness, though the outfit didn't bring luck since UW lost. This outfit was Kyle's when he was a baby (30 years old).

Eyes wide open

Some latest pictures with her eyes open. She is starting to be so much more alert the last week. Time needs to slow down!

We were paying so much attention to Kendall the other day that Izzy had enough so she jumped in the Boppy with her so she would be right in our faces instead of the baby.

Kendall and the Price Boys

Julie came to the rescue last week when I needed a babysitter. Luckily Chris had the day off so she wasn't home with 4 kids. I had a volleyball game, Shane and my Mom were painting at the house (which needed to get done that day), and Shane's parents were out of town. The boys loved having "K K" over.

1 week pictures

I know I am behind a little, so I am catching up with more pictures. Here are some pictures from her 1st week at home. Kassi, Julie, Taylor, and Kyler came to hang out with me when Kendall was 5 days old when everyone was gone at Shane's district basketball game.

1st State Basketball Tournament

At 8 days old Kendall went to Yakima for her 1st state basketball tournament and did a great job. She didn't mind all the noise in the sundome and slept through most of the games. Everyone kept saying she was the good luck charm and she must have been since they played for the state championship, but lost :( It was quite a season for Shane, a fun group of boys that he got to coach, 2 district championships, a baby born in between, and winning the 1st 3 games at state to be able to play for the state title.

Winning the semi-final game on Friday night!

Starting line-ups for the championship game, they turned off all the lights and had spotlights on each of the teams. What an amazing experience!

First Bath

Here are some pictures of her 1st bath, I didn't quite know what I was doing so I had the help of my Mom. She had quite an audience...Kyle, Michelle, and my Dad (Shane was gone scouting a bball game).

Hospital Pictures

Finally, I am getting updated on the blog. Kendall is 3 weeks old and time is going by way too fast, though I am enjoying every moment of it and trying not to count the weeks I have left until I go back to work. Life has slowed down a little...basketball is over for Shane, I only have 6 days left of volleyball (not that I am counting down), but the house is still making changes everyday so that means we are making decisions everyday (or should I say that I am). The house decisions were a little too much for Shane during basketball season so he told me to go ahead and just make all the decisions from here on out. He now has more of an opinion that he has time to think about other stuff besides basketball.
Here are some pictures from the hospital, she has changed so much and getting bigger everyday. All the pictures of Kendall with her grandparents, aunts, and uncles are on my parents camera so hopefully I will get those posted because there are some really good ones.

Dad's Good Luck Charm

I will post lots of pictures soon...next week....maybe.
Shane's team is off to the state tournament in Yakima and Kendall and I are leaving tomorrow morning with my parents. We hope they come home with a trophy!
Shane's team won the bi-district tournament on February 20th that gave them an automatic birth to state. It was such a releif they won that night because that means we could have our baby girl sometime last week without basketball interfering because they didn't play again until February 27th.
Shane's team played Saturday night and won the tri-district championship. His team got to cut down the nets and he made sure to come home and tie a piece of the net on Kendall's crib. Kassi, Taylor, Julie, and Kyler came and hung out with me Saturday night while everyone went to the basketball game. It was so nice of them to bring dinner and keep me company and they were excited to spend time with Kendall.
We are doing good, getting a pretty good amount of sleep. Shane came down with a really bad chest cold the day after Kendall was born so as of last Friday he quit holding her and helping me at night because the last thing we want is for her to get sick. He is getting better and after Saturday life will slow down and we can start to enjoy our time as a family of 3 together! Kendall is a very good baby and I can't imagine our lives without her. She actually seems to love baths but hates her diapers being changed that is almost the only time she cries. I think she already has Shane wrapped around her finger.
