Lake Chelan

One of my favorite places to go in the summer is Lake Chelan so we decided to take a quick 2 night trip in later July. The weather ended up not being too nice but we made the most of it. Someday I would love to have a Pontoon boat so we decided to rent one for a couple hours one day.

Field Trips

We try to get out a couple days a week to different parks or see new things. We call them field trips. The first part of the summer we went to the Vancouver Zoo for the day as well as Birch Bay and swimming at the thousand trails in Birch Bay.

Winthrop for the 4th of July

We camped in Winthrop for the 4th of July. No fireworks this year but we got to spend some time in nice weather hanging out with friends. We also went to the Twisp 4th of July parade.

Uncle John comes to visit

Shane's uncle John just moved back to California from Costa Rica after 10 years and surprised us the last weekend of June by driving up to stay for a few nights. Hopefully we will get a chance to go visit him soon in California.

Leavenworth, 1st get-a-way of the summer

The first weekend we were out of school we rented a cabin in Leavenworth at the Thousand Trails for 2 nights. The kids had fun in town in the bouncy houses they had set up for the weekend and Zak also enjoyed his 1st Braut.
