Weekend at The Cabin

Nice weather or not, we decided to head out to the lake for a couple nights. We went out on Thursday and it finally got nice Friday evening then all day Saturday while we were there. Kendall got plenty of slivers from the deck but she loves it out there, but not so much the cold water. We did get her jumping off the pier then I will let her get more and more in the water with each jump. She finally warmed up to it a little.
Canoeing with Grandma.

Grandpa and Grandma Stacy bought Kendall this chair, needless to say I think she likes it as you can see in the pictures!

Wishing the weather to get nicer to play outside.

Helping with firewood.

Spending Time at Grandma and Grandpa's

Kendall loves to play at Grandma and Grandpa's especially seeing all the neighbor farm animals, cats, and dogs.

Our little helper

I was so excited when I found this bookshelf / toy storage thing at Costco. Just what I was looking for to put in the bonus room. It came with 8 baskets too, all for $110.
Kendall was very interested in helping put it together. The pictures are not very clear because my settings were set for outside pictures.

Helping Dad with yard work.

And of course sneaking off to pick some raspberries.

Greater Vancouver Zoo

One afternoon last week we took Kendall up to the zoo right across the border, it only took us about 25 minutes to get there even counting going through the border.
She could have fed this llama all day.

Look at those curls!

She loved watching the little spider monkeys.

I love raspberries!

While Mommy is at work, Daddy and I do lots of fun things!

I took a summer school position working 1 on 1 with a middle school girl, 3 days a week for 4 hours each day. Still leaves me plenty of time for summer fun but makes some extra cash.

Shane and Kendall have been finding things to keep them busy when I am gone those mornings. Bike riding, playing at the park, visiting Grandma and Grandpa, walks, picking raspberries ect... The other day Shane had Kendall on the back of the bike and they decided to stop and pick some raspberries (since we are surrounded by them), he gave some to Kendall then the owner (our neighbor) came by and said make sure to wash them because I just sprayed them this morning so don't feed them to the baby. Oops...little late!

On the go

Not only is Kendall a typical busy 17 month old on the go but we have all been on the go. Summer hit and we have been home for 3 days, gone for 2-4 days at a time, then home again, then gone but fun things to be done in the summer time when we have time off!
After our trip to Walla Walla, we were home for 3 days before Shane left for Ellensburg for basketball camp and I went to Lake Chelan for Michelle's bachelorette party. We both came home Sunday then headed out to the lake for the 4th on Monday to enjoy the weather. We of course went out again on Wednesday for some more good sun!

Lounging on Mommy's lounge chair.

Thursday afternoon, we headed up to Cultas Lake where my parents were camping and spent the night. We came back Friday morning for Shane to get to his basketball games on Friday evening.
Kendall wasn't so sure about the pool at Cultas Lake (the weather was a little cold).

Got her 1st sliver while camping.

4th Lake Padden Tri-athlon

Shane took part in the annual Lake Padden Tri-athlon for the 4th year in a row. Right after he finished we got in the car and drove to visit the Pemberton's in Walla Walla. He was hoping to break 2 hours this year but had a little bit of the flu on Friday before the race so he finished in about 2:10.

His cheering section.
