Full of it!

Kendall is sure full of it these days! Lots of attitude but funny at other times or at the same time. Shane and I find ourselves turning our backs to laugh at some things she does when we shouldn't be laughing. I came home the other day to her putting on a concert for my Mom and Shane and she said she was heading to school with her backpack on. She went in her room and picked out her outfit.

Tis the Season

We got our tree a couple weeks ago and I like the one we picked this year. Kendall tried to help decorate but I fixed it once she took a nap. I think for the first week when Kendall would wake up in the mornings she would come out and just stare at it in awe for a while. The newness has worn off a bit but she is very excited about Santa coming to fill her stocking on Christmas. It is fun this year with her understanding a little bit more about this time of year.

Yes, we are one of those families now, no truck and a tree on top of our mini van. Oh well, next year Shane will hopefully have a truck again!

When I was back at work Kendall got to make cookies three different days, with Tia (Aunt Erin), Grammy and Papa, and Grandma. My Mom got some pictures while they made them at our house one day.

Catching up

December has flown by and it is time for an update. I went back to work every other day for 3 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, it was only 8 days so not bad at all. The real challenge will be going back full time starting January 2nd but Shane starts his paternity leave and will be home with the kids every other day until the end of April. For those four months there will be very few mornings of getting the kids up and out of the house before 7:15 so that will be great. Here are some pictures of the past couple weeks when I was just working part-time. We took Kyler with us to story hour and McDonalds for lunch since baby Beckett arrived we thought we would give the Grandparents a break. Kendall loves this guy but also loves to try to boss him around. Zak of course was with us but I just don't always get pictures of him too, I need to work on that. I will sure miss the stay at home Mom activities when I go back to work full time like story hour and gymnastics. Oh well, that is why I am a teacher and have my summers with the kids and lots of other time too.

We find time to head up the Homestead for a swim a couple times a week too. Kendall is a dare devil in the water and now has found freedom with swimming with a noodle since she refueses to put a life jacket or water wings on.

Zak: I feel bad I don't have any new pictures of him. He turned 3 months today! He is smiling so much more and even giggling now. He also is an amazing sleeper. Goes to bed around 8pm and wakes up around 8am, every single night!!! He is a big boy but can go all night with out eating. That must be why he sometimes eats every 2 hours during the day. Love this little guy and all his chubs!

2 months and family update

Zak was 2 months on the 22nd of November. His 2 months stats: 14 lbs. 14 oz. 23 2/3 inches and I can't remember his head circumfrence but it measured big so I think they measured it 3 times to make sure it was right. Zak is smiling more and more and sleeps between 10 and 11 hours a night...it is awesome, maybe his sister could catch on. I thought I would be getting up with a newborn not a 2.5 year old these days. We have been getting into the holidays but still haven't got our tree. I went back to work last Monday just part-time. I only work 8 days between Thanksgiving and Christmas break (every other day of school) then I will be full time when we go back to school in January. Basketball season has also begun for Shane!
