Easter
We shared Easter with my parents, Shane's parents, Kyle, Michelle, Chase, and also invited Benny and his sister Carmen. It was fun for Kendall to have an Easter egg hunt with some other kids. Benny and Carmen were pretty excited about the money in the eggs. I couldn't get a picture so the kids before the hunt started because they were so excited to get started then I forgot to get one when they were done.

Spring Break in Arizona
We spent our spring break in Arizona again for the 3rd year in a row with my parents, Uncle Kyle, Aunt Michelle, cousin Chase and family friends Chuck and Leslie Price. This year was another house with the perfect pool that had a shallow swim area for cousin Chase and Zak. A week before this trip Zak had pretty much mastered walking at 18 months old. He also took great naps on this trip so Mom and Dad could enjoy the pool in the afternoons. Kendall learned how to snorkel in the pool on this trip too.

Kendall's 4th Birthday
Kendall turned 4 February 23rd (the week Benny was with us). We had a little party a couple days late due to the snow storm. Kendall got a bike from both her grandparents and an early birthday present from Mom and Dad, a new cat Baxter. As I am just getting around to posting this in August (6 months late). We no longer have Baxter...someday we will really tell Kendall about what happened to her awesome cat! Kendall got to be the VIP at pre-school this week and brough the IPAD to show pictures of her cat to the class as well as bring her favorite...cakepops (made by one of Dad's students).

February snow storm and Benny
In late February we were faced with the a decision of taking in a student from the middle school as a foster child. To make a long story short Shane and I made the decision overnight that we would be picking Benny up on Friday after school to come and live with us for a undetermined time. It ended up that he was able to move back with his family after a week with us but we were prepared to have him through the end of the school year if needed. The kids warmed up to him the 1st night and we felt like a family of 5 very quickly. It was hard to see him go but we are thankful that, that is where he wanted to be and we didn't have to get too attached knowing it would have been harder to see him go months later. Kendall still talks about him and she would get to see him when she came to school with me here and there. During the week that he was here, we got a big snow storm and school was canceled for 2 days.
