Spokane

After Oroville we headed to Spokane for 2 nights and stayed at the Red Lion right on the river and next to river front park. I think we used our car 1 time to go for dinner but other than that we walked everywhere. We spent a lot of time at the playground at the park and at the carnival rides.

Oroville

We stayed at my principal's cabin overlooking Lake Osoyoos for 2 nights after Sun Peaks. It was about a 4 hour drive to his place from Sun Peaks but it took us about 7 with a bunch of stops. He has an amazing place and also a pool. It was very relaxing and Kendall got to play with Saylor his grand daughter that is 1 month younger than her. It was a hard place to leave. Thanks to Jerry for letting us stay! We went for a drive one day and stopped at an abandon town and also saw parts of Washington we had never seen driving to Spokane. We stopped at the grand Coulee dam for a picnic lunch.

Sun Peaks

Our 1st time there besides 1 time visiting when I was in high school for a ski trip. It was nice and relaxing, we got a lot of exercise with hiking and biking. Shane, Kendall, and I went on a hike one day by ourselves and came within 50 yards of a black bear. Another day my entire family rode the chair lift up and we went on a short hike with the babies packed. We noticed in Sun Peaks Zak was starting to move a lot more on the floor and learning how to army crawl. He came home from our road trip a pro army crawler and is getting into everything. He also had his 1st french fry in Sun Peaks.

Our 13 day road trip

1st stop - Sun Peaks, BC = 4 nights (Stayed at a condo with Courtney's family) Sun Peaks to Oroville, WA = 2 nights (my Boss' cabin overlooking Lake Osoyoos) Oroville to Spokane = 2 nights (Stayed at the Red Lion for 2 nights) Spokane to Clarkston = 2 nights (Stayed with Shane's brother Tristan and his girlfriend) Clarkston to Walla Walla = 2 nights (Stayed with the Pemberton family) The only long day was driving home from Walla Walla but the kids did great on every other drive and we survived! We tried to drive a lot while the kids needed naps and stopped at parks for lunch in different towns to let the kids get out and play.
