Swimming

We try to get out and do something everyday but the weather just hasn't been that great so far this summer. We have managed to make it to homestead a few times to the indoor swimming pool and the park. Dancing..."wiggle your hips" she says. She got it from Dora the Explorer.

Summer in here!!

We got out of school June 21st but I didn't let my summer start until June 28th when my Professional Certification was done. Shane and I both had a 15 credit certification due on June 28th and now we hopefully won't ever have to go back to school! It felt like getting my Master's all over again. Kendall got to spend sometime at her favorite "kid" babysitter's house while we worked on school work. Lexi french braided her hair again but I didn't get a picture again until after she slept on it. Kendall also went to Papa and Grammy's for a few hours so we could work on our school work. She got to ride the 4-wheeler. Summer means spending as much time outside playing with the neighbor dogs too! Now we are just hoping for some nicer weather to enjoy some time at the cabin.

Visit to the Pemberton's in Walla Walla

Memorial Day weekend we headed out Friday after school to visit Care and Dave in Walla Walla. We had a nice relaxing weekend and Shane and Dave also did a triathlon on Sunday. I of course forgot my good camera so I stole some pictures from Carolyn that she took. We missed Colt as he was in Disneyland for his 5th birthday with his Grandpa and Grandma. We look forward to seeing the Pemberton Family again in August!

Potty Training

My Mom decided to spend last Tuesday and Wednesday working with Kendall on potty training. I think Tuesday she was 3 for 5 in the potty but then Wednesday she was 0 for 5. I decided I don't have the time to push it right now so maybe again in July when things slow down. We did also get rid of the binky (FINALLY!). Thanks to my Mom. This is how my Mom kept her entertained on the potty.

A new fence

Shane decided last summer that he wanted to extend our split rail fence down the side of our property that faces the raspberries. He got some help from Dominic which made it go much faster. Dominic put in almost as many hours as Shane did. Kendall thinks she was helping put the fence in. Teresa stopped by with Trey and Tavia and Kendall and Trey had a good time playing. Teresa also helped them come up with a system and it made it go by much faster. Thank goodness she knew what she was doing because Shane may still not have it done. Now we just need to stain it, along with some other projects around the house this summer.

Getting Dirty

This girl likes to play in the dirt and Shane has to tell me just to take a breath and let her do it, then we come in and get in the bath.

Chelan Weekend

The last week of April we took a vacation day and left Thursday night to meet the Price's and Turrell's in Chelan for a nice weekend away. We rented an amazing house with a great view of the lake. Kendall had the best, long car ride of her life and that made it even better. The weather was nice and it was great to get out of the rain on the westside. It was a very relaxing weekend and felt like we were gone longer than just 3 nights. Just what we needed before the last 7 weeks of the school year.

Kendall now even refers to Brody as Spiderman at times now. She also called Chris, Christmas.

I am not sure if I have been on the past 2 vacations with my family because I am not in a single picture but that is my choice :) I really would rather not see myself in pictures right now.
