A little girl
We no longer have a baby but Kendall is now a little girl and likes girly things. Braclets, necklaces (she calls them necks), and shoes (plastic high heels at daycare). She repeats anything and everything even when Mom and Dad say the 4 letter S word. She has done it 2 times in the past week, once when Shane said and and once when I said it. I had to leave the room I was laughing so hard.

20 Months
Only 4 more months until the big 2. It is amazing how many words she knows and says and if she doesn't know them she will repeat almost anything you tell her to say. She is starting to put more than 1 word together. Such as, she likes to hide things and say, "Where go?" then she will get it and say "There it is!" or another one is "Mommy/Daddy hold" She sure isn't a baby anymore she is turning into a little girl.
She is suppose to be a Bee for Halloween. I found a really cute costume but she doesn't want to have anything to do with it, so we may not be dressing up again this year. She loves to look at it but when you try to put it on her she throws a fit. We have 1 more week!
1st full ponytail.

For the past couple months she likes to go and get my bathrobe from the bathroom and try to wear it or snuggle with it because I think she likes the feeling of the material. I found one with the same material and she loves wearing it after her baths.

Helping Dad make cookies.

Watching football with Dad.

Baby Dominic
Our friends and co-workers had a baby the middle of August so we have been helping them while Patrick is coaching football and Andrea is the head soccer coach at Meridian watch their son Dominic the last few Thursdays. Kendall has learned his name and says it pretty well and she gets really excited when he comes over. Though she doesn't quite understand that he is not her baby doll that she can carry around the house. She asks to hold him but then won't sit in the chair to do so and then gets mad that she can't stand and hold him. We did get her to sit one day to hold him for a couple seconds.

Julie's 30th Birthday Weekend
A couple weekends ago we sursprised Julie for her 30th birthday with a girl's weekend down at Tracey's. It was so much fun to get away with the girls, go shopping, get pedicures, and the best part; going to The Melting Pot. I had never been and Tracey suggested that is where we should go and I am so glad she thought of it. It was a perfect way to celebrate Julie's 30th!

Crabbing
A couple weekends ago Shane and I were lucky enough to go crabbing with Kyle and Michelle on Michelle's grandpas boat (a 54 foot boat). Not only did we go pick up the crab pots but we got to cook the crab and eat it right off the boat. The Aaron, Shannon, Wade, and Karli also were with us.

Final days of summer
We had a great month of August and were able to enjoy a lot of things the final weeks of summer and had some time at home just hanging out in the sun! Shane is still teaching at Meridian High School and I am now at the middle school this year, and it is definatly an adjustment. I come home much more exhausted because middle school kids never run out of energy especially in PE and when you get 60 of them together...yes...you heard it I have about 60 kids in every class with an assistant. The assistant they hired to help me actually has a teaching certificate and he is awesome so I got pretty lucky. I hope to be back at the high school someday!

18 months old
Kendall was 18 months old, August 23rd and she is full of it these days. Temper tantrums, pouting, being a great mother to her baby doll and new kitty, doesn't like to share, repeats almost anything we say (we better watch it), and loves to be tickled and chased by Dad!
Stats:
28 lbs, 3 oz.
33 inches

This is Jake our new kitten. I went for a run last Sunday, came home and told Shane there is a free kitten down the road, without hesitation, he said "go get it". I went back down and picked it up just in time for Kendall to be waking up from her nap to a new kitty. We still have our other cat Tui who is anti-social and doesn't come around Kendall much so we had been talking about getting a kitten for Kendall and then it would grow up being used to kids. So far Jake is the perfect cat, loves to go outside so we don't even have to have a litter box.
