Playing with Friends

I love to watch Kendall try and interact with other kids, mostly she just likes to follow older kids around and play along side them which I think is normal at this age.

Last Friday Trey Alexander came over while his parents went to some appointments with his new baby sister.

Trey really wanted to ride the bike Kendall was on so he decided to get on too and Kendall didn't seem to mind.


Then Friday night the Price Family came over for dinner. Thanks to Jules who doesn't leave her camera out of sight got a couple pictures, since I didn't do very well with mine.

Saturday after Shane's triathlon at Lake Padden we headed to Walla Walla to see the Pembertons. I meant to get some pictures of the 3 Pemberton boys and Kendall but never got around to it, then when we were headed for home on Monday Colt and Jax were taking naps.

Colt playing in the sprinkler. I am missing pictures of Jax (2) and Case (1 month), Jax loved Kendall and when he woke up the day we left he walked to the room where we were staying and was calling for Kendall...pretty cute!

They have neighbors who have alpacas. Kendall was one lucky girl, with their 3 dogs, neighbor sheep and alpacas.

Sometimes when we are not at home Kendall gets to sleep with Mom and Dad.

I keep forgetting we have already had 1 summer at our house. Last summer we barely spent any time outside because we had mounds of dirt for our yard and the house wasn't completely finished being painted until August. This summer the house in painted, we have grass and the flowers beds are done (though bare because the plants will get bigger). Now we get to enjoy the house inside and out! My favorite place to be, is the back patio having a cold summer beverage!

Summer is Here!

ahhh....sigh....We have had a great 1st week of summer so far and some nicer weather finally.
Mom went to town, Dad took me on a bike ride to the river, and when I got home look what Mom had bought me! No, not the 2 piece swimsuit (that was from Grandma), a pool! I love it! By the way, Mom always said I could not have a 2 piece until I was older but look what Grandma brought back from Cresent bar and Mom and Dad have changed their minds and think it looks pretty cute on me.

We are looking forward to our last day of school tomorrow so we can spend all summer with this girl! She has quite a personality these days and as you can see she likes to sit her dolls down and have a talk with them.

Ski To Sea 2011

For ski to sea we had our 2nd annual canoe watching down at the river. We hiked down with about 15 other people including kids, dogs, and the baby joggers.

We had a surprise guest appearance that I will never forget. Dominic a good friend of ours that you can see in a couple posts earlier that we went to Wenatchee with made his first public appearance after having a head injury on May 1st. The amazing thing is, he had just got home from Harborview on Saturday and made the hike down to the river on Sunday. Beav, Teresa (Dom's wife), and a friend of theirs showed up fashionably late to surprise everyone. I am not sure if their was anyone NOT crying when we witnessed Dom emerging from the woods. I am pretty sure everyone thought they were dreaming.




After the river we headed back to our place for a BBQ and got to enjoy our yard and back patio for the 1st time since planting grass last fall. We borrowed the neighbors soccer goals and the kids had a great soccer field.

May Happenings

The month of May has flown by and I haven't been blogging in a while, so here is a recap of some things in May. June is busy but I will not complain because we only work 1/2 the month, school is out June 17th! Shane starts summer basketball this week.
