A new fence

Shane decided last summer that he wanted to extend our split rail fence down the side of our property that faces the raspberries. He got some help from Dominic which made it go much faster. Dominic put in almost as many hours as Shane did. Kendall thinks she was helping put the fence in. Teresa stopped by with Trey and Tavia and Kendall and Trey had a good time playing. Teresa also helped them come up with a system and it made it go by much faster. Thank goodness she knew what she was doing because Shane may still not have it done. Now we just need to stain it, along with some other projects around the house this summer.

This girl likes to play in the dirt and Shane has to tell me just to take a breath and let her do it, then we come in and get in the bath.

Chelan Weekend

The last week of April we took a vacation day and left Thursday night to meet the Price's and Turrell's in Chelan for a nice weekend away. We rented an amazing house with a great view of the lake. Kendall had the best, long car ride of her life and that made it even better. The weather was nice and it was great to get out of the rain on the westside. It was a very relaxing weekend and felt like we were gone longer than just 3 nights. Just what we needed before the last 7 weeks of the school year.

Kendall now even refers to Brody as Spiderman at times now. She also called Chris, Christmas.

I am not sure if I have been on the past 2 vacations with my family because I am not in a single picture but that is my choice :) I really would rather not see myself in pictures right now.

It's a

Boy! I had my ultra sound last Monday and within about 5 minutes of laying down she was able to tell us it's a boy. Now just trying to figure out a name...pretty hard to do when you are a teacher because every name reminds you of some student we have had over the years. They said the baby looked very healthy. Random Stuff

Kendall likes ballerinas lately and we are not sure where she gets it besides something she has seen in books we have read or on TV. One of the parents from school made this tutu for Kendall for basketball season but everytime I would try to put it on her she didn't want to have anything to do with it. When I was getting her out of the bath the other day she went to her closet to ask to be a ballerina then she came out to show Shane and got up on the couch to dance for us and sing Twinkle Twinkle little star.

A couple weeks ago we had a babysitter when we went to the Booster club auction and we woke up the next morning to Kendall in french braids. I can't believe Lexi got Kendall to sit through it. She would never do that for me, nor can I braid hair like that!

Kendall is now going through a phase where I am not Mom and Shane is not Dad, to her we are Courtney and Shane and we rarely ever get called Mom and Dad anymore. Once I figure out how to get videos off my phone and onto my computer I will be able to post her singing the entire song of "Where is Thumbkin". She really likes to sing these days too and many days it is anybody and everybody's birthdays and she will sing to you.

Spring Break 2012

We spent a much needed week in the sun in Gilbert, AZ (outside of Phoneix) with my parents, and Kyle and Michelle. It was very relaxing and we didn't do a whole lot which was the plan. Kendall loved the pool once the pool guy turned it up to 86 degrees. We took her to the park daily or 2 times a day and also went to the zoo for a morning. The Park

Kendall's Room is Complete!

About the middle of March we finally finished up Kendall's room. She started taking naps in there the first couple weeks but then decided she wanted to sleep at night in there too. It took her a couple weeks and we always gave her the option of her crib or new bed. We still have her old room still set up the same way for the new baby in September. She is still sleeping 11-12 hours every night and doesn't get out of her bed in the morning until we come and get her.
