Sand!

We just got home yesterday from our spring break trip to Oceanside, California. We took Kendall to the beach the 2nd day we were there and she loved the sand and the taste of it too.

1 Year Stats and Picture

I am finally getting around to her 1 year stuff. She went to the Dr. of March 2nd for her 1 year appointment. I couldn't take her because of teaching during the day and coaching after school so my Mom brought her.
Weight: 25 lbs. 10 oz.
Height: 32 incehs

At exactly 13 months she has become a full time walker. Though still a little uncoordinated. It is so fun getting home and see her walking over to me instead of crawling.

I brought her to volleyball practice the day of my middle school teams pictures so she could get hers taken too.

More birthday stuff

My birthday present from my Dad. An ipad! Actually the card said to Kendall and Courtney and we found Talking Tom that Kendall loves. I love it and something I would never have bought for myself but I have to kick Shane off of it if I ever want to use it. Chris and Crew came over last Saturday night to watch the Husky basketball game and I showed Crew how to play some games and when he got in the car to leave he asked Chris if he could get an ipad...Jules, you better start checking some deals online before his birthday May :)

Kendall's 1st Birthday

We had Kendall's 1st birthday party on Saturday February 26th, on my birthday. My Dad and brother both thought I did that on purpose to throw myself a birthday party, I figured we won't celebrate my birthday for the next 18 years because we will be planning special things for Kendall, which I am ok with.
All 4 grandparents, Uncle Kyle, Aunt Michelle, Aunt Erin, Julie, Crew, Kyler, Kassi, Taylor, and Lane all made it to her party. We didn't really go all out and Crew wanted to know where all the decorations were when he got here. She of course was spoiled by everyone and got some new books, toys, a trike, a kid size table and chairs, and clothes (summer clothes that will be great for our spring break trip).

She had lots of helpers to open her cards and gifts.



I think this is my 1st time ever making cupcakes, and Shane's Mom happend to give me this cupcake stand the day before.

Getting caught up...

I still haven't posted pictures of Kendall's 1st birthday but I am getting around to it...here is a couple pictures for now. We took her swimming at Homestead a couple weeks ago trying to get her more used to water for our spring break trip to California. She kind of liked it, until she tried crawling in the kiddy pool that was too deep. I only have 2 weeks left of middle school volleyball and am looking forward to having more time after school. Shane and Kendall have had a lot of bonding time over the past month while I am coaching and he is home with her after school and a couple nights when I have games. He usually has dinner ready when I get home too!

Weekend in Whistler

We had a 4 day weekend last weekend and since basketball was over early this year for Shane my parents planned a trip to Whistler. My Dad ended up getting sick and couldn't go so it was just my Mom, Shane, Kendall, and I which means I didn't ski because I stayed back with Kendall which I am ok with...I don't know how bad I really wanted to. I did go across the new gondala that goes from Peak 2 Peak (2.7 miles wide). They put it in before the Olympics and we hadn't been up their for about 4 years.

I can't believe it has already been a year...and a year that we would not trade for anything. We have so much fun with this crazy girl and we are so thankful for our jobs that we get lots of time to spend with her in the afternoons, weekends, and all our holiday breaks. She gets more and more personality every day and is picking up new things. She knows how to wave and give high fives. We think she is saying "book" but is sounds more like "boo". She loves to growl at everyone...her way of saying hi. She loves any kind of fruit and especially grapes. And when she really likes something as she eats, she dances. She also dances any time she hears any music. We think she is the cutest thing ever and love her to pieces! Here are a couple pictures of the birthday girl for now...I have more pictures to post soon of our weekend in Whistler!
